Blame Nintendo, not the programmer
The game was perfect, "was" being the keyword. It was a faithful port of the classic duck hunt. Understandably Nintendo doesnt like others making games that are copies of theirs (remember this is the same company that sued third party companies for making games for the NES that didnt go through their official channels.)
That being said I understand why the programmer had to change the game. Sadly now it has been changed it eliminated what made it great. I do not fault the programmer in any way. I fault Nintendo for not porting their classics to iOS in an attempt to force people to buy their failing consoles in order to play their games.
Sadly in its state now I can not recommend this game, honestly between changing it and pulling it from the store I think pulling it would have been the wise move.
